So, what is a community coalition?

A coalition is a community-wide approach to prevent and reduce substance abuse using the strengths and resources of individuals and organizations. Through collaboration and developing partnerships we provide the support and information that our youth need to make healthy lifestyle choices.

The Coalition’s programs and partnerships are the building blocks to achieving our desired outcome: helping the youth of our community to abstain from the use of alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs, so they have the ability to reach their fullest potential.

Our Mission Statement

Our mission is to increase positive youth development through community partnerships, providing every youth with the opportunity to reach their fullest potential.

Parent Survey

In collaboration with other Oakland County community Coalitions, the Clarkston Coalition for Youth is conducting a very brief and anonymous survey with parents (of 6th-12th grade students), regarding underage alcohol & drug use. This year, mental health & protective factors questions are also included.

Each community needs a minimum number of surveys to ensure successful summarization. Please help us reach this goal by taking this 11 question survey!

The survey will be available now through April 30, 2018.  If you have questions, please visit achcmi.org  or email info@clarkstonyouth.org
